IDEAS FOR ANY DAY
Brentwood Parks We are so lucky to have 50+ parks in Brentwood. A park day is the perfect free activity for kids. Our family favorites are City Park and Blue Goose Park (perfect for Summer because of the water feature) and Veteran's Park (also known by my kids as "The Pirate Park") which has a great shade feature and is an all-access park. Pack a picnic lunch and you are good to go for an afternoon of fun (and hopefully you'll tire them out so they go home and take a good nap!)
Brentwood Library We already mentioned Story-time on Tuesdays but the library is a great idea any day of the week (except for Sundays- they are closed). Head down there and flip through books and enjoy their kids area! Check out a few books to enjoy at home too!
All Inked Up Books- 629 First Street, Brentwood Another great option for books in Brentwood is All Inked Up in Downtown Brentwood. A very kid-friendly business it is a great place to escape the heat, look at the local kids art they have on display, and flip through a book or two. You might even find something you like enough to buy and take with you!
Little Miss Everything- 220 Oak Street, Brentwood We can't complie a list of free things to do without mentioning our shop! If you haven't been in lately (and even if you have) make sure to make it a must stop shop this summer! Kids are welcome to play in our event space while parents shop (as long as we don't have an event taking place) and we always are offer low cost services that you can walk-in or schedule an appointment for. We also have a summer full of affordable events (view them all at www.littlemisseverything.com/events/) to keep the kids busy (and give you a break)!
Summer seems to sneak up faster and faster each year. This year we will help you to prepare and keep your summer action packed! We'd love to hear from you! Do you know of a Free event in Brentwood this summer that should be on our list? Leave ideas in the comments or shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org! We came across some great low cost events (and events outside of Brentwood) so stay tuned for a follow up list with more ideas to keep you busy this summer!
